Friday, April 10th, for our Christian Business Connections Lunch which will feature Wes Duncan, City Attorney of Sparks and candidate for District Attorney of Washoe County.
Wes returns to CBC with a message he is especially passionate about, diving into the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:5–13 to explore what it means to pray effectively. This will be a Scripture centered, practical, and deeply relevant teaching on prayer that speaks directly into our lives as leaders, professionals, and followers of Christ. We will be looking at how Jesus taught us to pray and how we can experience a more abundant prayer life.
Please consider bringing your Bible, as Wes will be walking closely through the passage and inviting us to follow along.
As a returning speaker who has already made a strong impact on our community, I would especially encourage you to make every effort to attend and to invite others. This is a great opportunity to bring friends, colleagues, and fellow believers who are looking to grow deeper in their faith.

SPEAKER OF THE MONTH
Wes Duncan,
City Attorney of Sprks and candidate for District Attorney of Washoe County
Quick Bio: Wes Duncan
The importance of hard work, service, and integrity was instilled in Wes at a young age as the son of a UPS driver who faithfully served for 42 years. Those early lessons shaped a legal career centered on serving others and protecting his community.
After law school, Wes commissioned as an Air Force lawyer and deployed to Iraq, where he assisted in prosecuting terror suspects within the Central Criminal Court of Iraq. He continues to serve in the Air Force Reserves and currently holds the rank of Colonel Select.
Wes is the elected City Attorney for Sparks, previously serving as Chief Assistant City Attorney, First Assistant Attorney General for Nevada, a felony prosecutor, law firm partner, and State Assemblyman. His leadership has driven initiatives in domestic violence prevention, retail theft, senior scam protection, and youth fentanyl awareness.
Outside of work, Wes and his wife Jennifer, also an Air Force reservist, are raising four children. He is active in his church, enjoys coaching youth sports, staying physically fit, and investing in his family.
